Overview
Tax compliance is a fundamental responsibility for individuals, businesses, and accounting professionals. Understanding how to calculate taxes accurately and submit returns correctly is essential for maintaining compliance with legislation, avoiding penalties, and supporting sound financial management. Whether dealing with personal income tax, employment taxes, capital gains tax, provisional tax, or VAT, finance professionals must possess the practical skills required to perform calculations and complete returns with confidence.
This webinar provides a practical introduction to the key principles of taxation and the procedures involved in calculating tax liabilities and completing statutory returns. Participants will gain an understanding of tax terminology, taxable income calculations, deductions, rebates, PAYE, UIF, Capital Gains Tax, Provisional Tax, VAT, and SARS eFiling requirements. The session will bridge the gap between tax theory and practical application, enabling attendees to navigate tax compliance obligations effectively.
