The accountant is usually the first person to see that a business is in financial trouble and it is his/her duty to inform the client of the situation. 

As you prepare your client's financial statements, you should be able to determine whether the business is factually insolvent or financially distressed.  You must then be guided by the Companies Act as far as your duties and obligations are concerned in this regard.  

Business rescue is now an established area of specialisation for qualifying accountants. Join us for this webinar as we cover everything related to business rescue and how you can become a registered business rescue practitioner.

Obtaining your CPD certificate
