International Standard on Auditing 220 (Revised), Quality Management for an Audit of Financial Statements, establishes the engagement-level responsibilities of the engagement partner and reinforces the importance of quality management within each individual audit engagement.
ISA 220 (Revised) aligns with ISQM 1 and ISQM 2 and introduces a strengthened focus on leadership, professional scepticism, supervision, review and accountability at engagement level. It places clear responsibility on the engagement partner for managing and achieving quality throughout the audit.
