Overview   

In 2008 the Companies Act was amended to provide for a new assurance engagement called an independent review.  An independent review is a limited assurance engagement which is less rigorous and inevitably less costly when compared to an audit engagement.  

Draftworx™ has developed work methods that make conducting an independent review engagement a simple and seamless activity. This methodology is called the Draftworx™ Review+ methodology. It assists users to plan, execute and conclude an independent review engagement in a meaningful and structured manner.

About the presenter 

Leon Combrick CA(SA) 

Leon Combrick qualified as a chartered accountant in 2008 after completing articles at Deloitte and KPMG. He worked as an audit manager at A2A Kopano Incorporated for four years and then joined Draftworx™ in 2013.  

As Technical Director of Draftworx™, Leon combines his technical and practical skills acquired in his experience as a practising CA and combines it with his passion for IT. For the past six years his duties at Draftworx™ have primarily been to build and maintain Draftworx™ templates.
