Session 9 is a continuation of the bookkeeping processes begun in Session 8.
In addition to the everyday bookkeeping functions which we looked at, we now introduce more processes such as payroll, VAT calculation and submissions, depreciation calculations, loan amortisations, asset acquisitions and other SARS submissions.

By the end of this session the candidate should:
Be able to capture accounting documents in journals;
Be able to post information from journals to ledgers;
Understand how to perform bank reconciliations and other month-end transactions;
Understand how to calculate VAT, payroll taxes and submit relevant returns to SARS; and
Understand how to do the final trial balances.

Regular monthly processing.
Further journal processing.
VAT calculations.
VAT201 submissions.
Payroll calculations.
Acquisition of assets on credit.
Deriving a final trial balance.
This session qualifies for 6 CPD hours with your professional body including: ACCA, SAICA, AAT, SAIPA, SAIBA, IAC, CIS, ICBA, LSSA, FPI, and the IBA. The SAAA CPD policy is compliant with IFAC IES7 and is recognised by all relevant professional bodies.
Upon successful completion, all attendees are issued with a CPD certificate available in an online profile.
