Obtaining your CPD certificate

About the presenters

Ferdie van Schalkwyk

Ferdie van Schalkwyk is a business consultant and technology advisor at IPMG, heading up the Independent Chief Information Officer advisory arm of IPMG (iCIO).

With more than 15 years experience in the field, Ferdie has the rare ability to converse with technology people on highly technical topics and be able to translate, unpack and discuss those same topics with business owners and experts in other fields to ensure their practical understanding and alignment, so that they are empowered to make informed decisions.

Earl Steyn

Draftworx is the appointed provider to assist companies to automate the iXBRL filing process. Earl is a qualified CBA(SA) that completed articles within a large firm environment and has been serving the profession for more than 10 years. Draftworx is used by IRBA and SAICA to prepare their financial statements, as well as by thousands of SME accountants. 

Will Dutton 

Coming from an entrepreneurship background, Will built a coffee chain brand in South Africa called vida e caffè. He took the business from 3 stores to 180+ stores internationally in 12 years. Will has a passion for building businesses and empowering the people involved to grow. He now heads up partnerships for Practice Ignition in South Africa

Joshua Alexandre  

Joshua is a university dropout turned company secretary on a mission to automate the legal requirements for registered companies in South Africa. As a business owner, entrepreneur and director, he knows firsthand the challenges of starting a business and maintaining its legal status.  

With his innovative startup InfoDocs, he is building what he refers to as "the Xero of company secretarial".
