Overview

The importance of ensuring quality in all accounting, auditing and other assurance and related engagements can never be overemphasised. COVID-19 has above everything else taught us that accurate reporting is a must if businesses are to survive during uncertain times and thrive thereafter.

While the meaning of "quality" may differ from one stakeholder to the next, there are common ways that accounting and audit practitioners can follow to ensure the delivery of professional work of the highest quality at firm level. Some of these factors are:

  • Having motivated staff and a strong leadership that encourages a culture centred on quality.

  • Having effective supervision and fair review mechanisms in place.

  • Encouraging accountability and the willingness to address any identified deficiencies.

  • Matching staff expertise and experience to the requirements of each engagement.

This webinar takes a broad look at quality with a focus on staff, more specifically, the trainees. Join Monja van Zyl CA(SA) on 24 November 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. as she provides you with a toolkit that will guide both practitioners and accounting trainees.
