Standardise your audit engagements and avoid IRBA inspections

Date: Sep 27, 2018 - Sep 27, 2018

CPD hours: 2 Hours

Time: 11:00 - 13:00

Event Type: Webinar

Presenter: Lettie Janse van Vuuren CA(SA)
CA (SA), Registered Auditor

Registered Auditors must apply the contents of the latest IRBA Inspections Report in their practice and quality control processes. All attest and assurance staff must stay informed about mistakes made by other practices that have been inspected by IRBA, and take measures to prevent those identified deficiencies within their own practice.

Overview

The IRBA has confirmed that they will focus on specific areas during future inspections. Auditors are encouraged “to study all publications and information on the IRBA website in order to remain up-to-date with all the latest standards (including any application material), the IRBA Code of Professional Conduct and any other regulatory requirements that apply.”

Staying up-to-date with the contents of the latest IRBA Inspections Report helps practices to become proactive and formulate preventative measures in their own practices.

Join technical expert, Lettie Janse van Vuuren CA(SA), RA(SA) on this webinar as she unpacks IRBA's future focus areas and also helps you to standardise your processes both at firm level and individual engagement level. Lettie will also share with you her "Remedial-Action-Process" that will guide you in performing a root-cause analysis and prepare action plans.
