About this Course
Business analysis is used to identify business needs and determine solutions to business problems. It involves gathering and analysing information, communicating with stakeholders, and making recommendations for improvement. Employees in various roles within an organisation require business analysis skills.
Financial institutions perform a due diligence before approving finance to businesses. This requires a thorough documentation of the institutional characteristics of the business. In this course we present a four-part framework for conducting due diligence which is also often referred to as business analysis.
This course is oriented towards novice business advisors and credit analysts, but professionals in other fields who want to improve their business acumen will also benefit. The course will help you with the fundamentals; you will learn the qualitative techniques to assess the ‘health’ of a business and the information gathering techniques which lead to informed decision-making regarding the business.

Nestene Botha CA(SA)
Nestene is a Chartered Accountant with a Masters Degree in Auditing Education. She has 8 years experience lecturing, training and building courses for various tertiary institutions. Her areas of expertise include entrepreneurship, auditing, corporate governance, integrated reporting and course building. She is passionate about creating learning journeys that transfers practical skills to accountants and makes theoretical knowledge come to life. She excels at creating meaningful learning experiences for practicing accountants. In this course she uses the knowledge gained from a lifetime in corporate accounting and management positions with her skills in educational design to deliver a jam-packed action oriented curriculum that will assist students in learning everything there's to know about business analysis.
Charmaine Nadasan
Charmaine Nadasan has been working in the Training field since 2012. She is the holder of a B. Com (Unisa), Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Unisa), and Advanced Credit Diploma (Institute of Bankers SA) . Charmaine is a seasoned Facilitator and is registered as an Assessor and Moderator for the Generic Management qualification as well as various other unit standards. In addition she has 10 years banking experience and has been a franchisee for two popular franchise businesses where she managed the daily operations of these businesses.
Prerequisites / Admission Requirements
Anyone can attend this course. There are no minimum entry requirements.
Accreditation
This course is aligned to the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) International Education Standard (IES) 7 and is recognised for CPD / CPE by relevant accounting professional bodies which will give you 5 CPD / CPE hours.
This course is also accredited by the FPI with approval number FPI23035390 for 5 CPD Hours.
Assessments
This course includes formative assessments to test your knowledge throughout the modules. Learners must achieve all competencies of the course.
Assessment and Certification
On successful completion (i.e. competence in all modules) of this course the learners will be awarded:
