Course Delivery, Duration, and Effort

This 3-month course is delivered through the SA Accounting Academy online learning campus. The course is divided into 11 modules. In this way you can maintain a work-life balance whilst studying and improving your professional skills. The required effort is 4 to 8 hours per week.

Nestene is a Chartered Accountant with a Masters Degree in Auditing Education. She has 7 years experience lecturing, training and building courses for various tertiary institutions. Her areas of expertise include entrepreneurship, auditing, corporate governance, integrated reporting and course building.

She is passionate about creating learning journeys that transfers practical skills to accountants and makes theoretical knowledge come to life. She excels at creating meaningful learning experiences for practicing accountants. In this course she works with experienced practicing accountants to teach them everything they ever needed to know about “Drafting Financial Statements.”

Innocent Shongedza

Innocent has more than 12 years industry experience in various finance and accounting roles. During the past 10 years Innocent has moved into the training space where he facilitated on work-readiness programs for thousands of accounting and finance graduates. He is an assessor and moderator registered with various SETAs where he assesses and moderates accounting and finance qualifications. Innocent also trains QuickBooks Online as well as Sage Pastel.


Admission Requirements

Bachelor degree in Accounting or Diploma with three years relevant experience is recommended.


Accreditation

This professional education course is a non-credit bearing short learning programme. The course is aligned to the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) International Education Standard (IES) 7 and is recognised for CPD / CPE by accounting professional bodies.


Assessments

This course includes formative assessments to test your knowledge throughout the modules. Learners must achieve all competencies of the course.


Assessment and Certification

On successful completion (i.e. competence in all modules and assessments) of this course the learners will be awarded:
