About this Course
This practical short course provides a comprehensive understanding of fringe benefits and their payroll, tax and compliance implications within the South African employment environment. Learners will explore the taxation and administration of common fringe benefits, including company vehicles, residential accommodation, low-interest loans, employer-provided assets, allowances and employee reimbursements.
The course focuses on the practical application of PAYE legislation, valuation methods, payroll reporting and compliance requirements in terms of the Income Tax Act and SARS payroll obligations. Through real-world examples, case studies and worked calculations, learners will develop the ability to identify taxable benefits, determine taxable values, apply correct payroll treatment and maintain compliant payroll records.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to confidently manage fringe benefit calculations, payroll reporting and legislative compliance in a professional payroll or HR environment.
