Overview   

We have now presented nine webinars on different Sections of the IFRS for SMEs standard where we touched on revenue, income tax, financial instruments, business combinations and leases among other topics.  

The purpose of this webinar is to now bring everything together and show how the principles we have discussed so far come together in the annual financial statements.  

The IASB has provided a set of illustrative annual financial statements for SMEs. Various sections in the IFRS for SMEs also refer to certain minimum requirements that must be adhered to when preparing annual financial statements for an SME. This webinar summarises these principles and serves as a good conclusion to the entire webinar series.

About the presenter 

Caryn Maitland CA(SA)

Caryn Maitland is a Chartered Accountant (SA). She has been a member of IRBA as a registered auditor and accountant since 2002 and is also a registered member of SAICA.

Caryn has lectured Auditing and Accounting at various institutions and has conducted independent workshops and seminars for professional accountants since 2006 on various topics.

Caryn has presented on the national tour for the annual Legislation Update with ProBeta Training (Pty) Ltd in 2014 and 2015, as well as on the FASSET national tour for the Tax Administration Act in 2014.  She is also involved with the annual SAICA SMP Technical tour.
