Claudia Hazelwood CA(SA) completed her academic articles at Wits University, specialising in financial reporting, whereafter she completed her articles at PwC. She has ten years post article experience ranging from lecturing financial accounting at a postgraduate level to the review and drafting of technical opinions, review of annual financial statements and the implementation of new International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Claudia has extensive technical knowledge in all areas of IFRS, having worked as an IFRS specialist at Grant Thornton and her ongoing involvement in tertiary education. In 2021 she started her own IFRS advisory and consulting firm (FinRep Consulting) which provides technical accounting advice to clients. Claudia is currently completing her Masters in International Accounting at the University of Johannesburg.
