On 29 August 2024, the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) released the latest edition (2023 - 2024) of the IAASB Handbook. This handbook gives audit and assurance professionals updates that keep them up to date with amendments to International Standards on Auditing (ISA) as well as other emerging issues.  

Recent developments include: 

• ISA for less complex entities (LCE). 

• ISA 600 (Revised) on special considerations in the audit of group financial statements.  

• Proposed ISA 240 (Revised) on the auditor's responsibilities to fraud.
