About this Course

All of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) members and associates must maintain and develop their professional competence relevant to their current and future roles through continuous professional development activities that align to SAICA CA2025 Pathways to Relevance framework. We have created a comprehensive course to assist you in gaining an in-depth understanding of the SAICA CPD policy; how to create your CPD reflective plan as well as an introduction to SAAA’s online CPD solution: Infiniti.

By completing this course you will have an in-depth understanding of the following:

  • Understand the CPD policy requirements;
  • Understand which steps to follow to compile your own CPD reflective plan; and
  • Consider the benefits of utilizing SAAA’s comprehensive CPD solution (Infiniti).

About the Lecturer

Annelien Feldtmann CA(SA), Neuro-Coach

Annelien is a Neuro-Coach and Chartered Accountant (SA) with 21 years of experience in the public and private sector. She is deeply passionate about people development and has been actively involved in various roles to assist individuals to become the professionals they dream to be.

Her roles include the following:

  • She was a SAICA Reviewer and is a registered assessor with in-depth knowledge of the SAICA Competency Framework and learnership requirements. She was a committee member of TRECO and AMS (now TPSC);
  • She was a SAICA Training Officer and later the Senior Manager – Trainee Auditor Scheme who managed the three auditing and accounting learnerships (SAICA; SAIGA and ACCA) within the Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA) (1 300 learners annually spread across the 9 provinces) and has in-depth knowledge of the practical challenges, roles and responsibilities of employers and trainees;
  • She is the chairperson of the Assessment Committee (which is responsible for the final qualification examination) of the South African Institute of Taxation (SAIT) and also a SAIT assessor (reviewing the compliance with the learnership requirements and logbook compliance);
  • She has been involved in distance learning institutions and even compiled the curriculum transformation competency framework for the College of Accounting Sciences at the University of South-Africa (UNISA);
  • She managed a UK based professional development company as well as a South-African based study support organisation; and
  • She is a qualified Executive, Business and Career Neuro-Coach (clients in the USA; UK and South-Africa) and have also provided mentorship to dynamic females in the public sector in the USA as well as Jamaica.

Module 1 – SAICA CPD Requirements

  • List the member requirements;
  • Understand SAICA’s duties; and
  • Gain clarity on the annual declarations.

Module 2 – Frequently Asked Questions

Learning Outcomes:

  • Gain clarity on some of the most frequently asked questions.

Module 3 – Steps to Create your CPD Reflective Plan

Learning Outcomes:

  • List the three phases to compile a SAICA compliant CPD reflective plan; and
  • Understand the detailed steps to create your CPD reflective plan.

Module 4 – SAAA’S Comprehensive CPD Solution: Infiniti

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the benefits of using Infiniti;
  • Understand the process flow utilised within Infiniti;
  • See a sneak peak of Infiniti; and
  • Understand how Infiniti ensures a seamless and fully compliant CPD reflective plan submission to SAICA, should you be selected for monitoring purposes.
  • Gain clarity on some of the most frequently asked questions.
