Overview
Professional accountants are leaders and role models in the business world. What they do and how they do it impacts many others in the form of clients, staff, family, friends as well as society at large.
South Africa, together with many counties around the world, has many challenges with corruption being a top issue. What can we do, as professional accountants to combat this disease? How can we reflect on our personal and business ethics to work towards creating a community and country that we are proud of and that the next generation will be proud of?
As Francis of Assisi famously said, “Start by doing what is necessary; then what is possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible.”
