Accountex Virtual Summits go Global

Accountex is going global this autumn, with the launch of two new virtual summits for South African and North American accounting firms.

Registration is already open for the South African summit, taking place on 13 October, and the two day North American summit will go live over 10-11 November.

These new additions to the Accountex portfolio (joining the flagship live Accountex London event and Accountex Summit North conference) follow the huge success of the organiser’s first ever virtual summit in May.  Held during the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, it boasted over 16,000 registrations and raised £43K for the UK’s frontline NHS workers.  It’ll be back again – by popular demand – on 25-26 November (Sage, Wolters Kluwer, Capitalise, Nimbus Portal Solutions, Advance Track, Chaser and Access UK are already signed on as sponsors).

Accountex has proved time and again that meaningful collaboration – drawing on the expertise and insights of the profession's top influencers and innovators – is key to its continued success.  Global accounting association ACCA and accounting software specialist Practice Ignition are back as lead partners, plus Accountex is also working with associations, media and brands in each region to help tailor its online conference experience.

South Africa and North America are just the start of Accountex’s virtual expansion.  Organiser Diversified Communications UK already have their sights on bringing the brand to accountants in Australia, The Netherlands and more.

Zoe Lacey-Cooper, Accountex’s portfolio director, says: “The Accountex Virtual Summits are the best thing to have come out of all this crazy time we are living in!  It has been heart-breaking that we have not been able to host our annual live Accountex shows in 2020, and we are so looking forward to bringing everyone back together again next year.  In the meantime, hosting these exciting virtual events is a great opportunity to do something good and help support our accounting community on a global scale.

“The essence of Accountex is to collaborate with all the most important people, companies and associations in the accountancy profession, to provide an un-biased platform to share quality content and must needed information.  That’s what we do best and what we want to keep doing more of.

“We are delighted to welcome our new partners from South Africa and North America, and we’re extremely proud to be working again with existing partners, like Practice Ignition and ACCA.  I’m really looking forward to seeing what we can do together.”

Jason Hinkle, head of member engagement – Europe and Americas at ACCA, says: “Following the success of the Accountex Virtual Summit earlier this year, we’re delighted to take our partnership with Accountex to the next level by supporting their autumn virtual summits in South Africa, the USA and the UK.  Ensuring ongoing support and innovation within the profession is something both organisations believe in and I know these events will deliver just that!”
