CGSO: Special Tribute Edition Newsletter
- 17 May 2023
- Accounting
- South African Accounting Academy
This is an abridged newsletter as the CGSO is moving to a new newsletter cycle aligned with the financial year.
Previously, the newsletter followed the calendar year, and it was potentially confusing for stakeholders. The new cycle facilitates better year-on-year and quarter-on-quarter comparisons and helps with data gathering, which is an important part of the CGSO’s toolkit when it comes to identifying trends and issues that need to be addressed by the industry and/or the regulators.
The CGSO’s financial year runs from 1 March to 28 February, so the first newsletter of the current financial year will cover the period from March to May 2023. Since their last newsletter covered the period from October to December 2022, this newsletter bridges the gap by covering news and events in January and February.
