Summary:

The International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) has announced that the latest edition of the International Valuation Standards (IVS), is now free to download, and available to all interested parties, from 31 January 2025.

Article:

This development ensures that all valuation stakeholders— including valuers, regulators, investors, businesses, and policymakers—can access the latest international standards, supporting efforts to enhance quality, consistency, and transparency in valuation.

In recent years, the demand for IVS-compliant valuations has grown significantly, with statutory and regulatory bodies, investors, and businesses increasingly recognising IVS as the benchmark for robust and transparent valuation practices. By removing the paywall, IVSC reaffirms its commitment to the public interest, helping to expand awareness and drive adoption of global best practices in valuation.

The move coincides with the effective date of the latest IVS, reinforcing the importance of international alignment in valuation standards. IVSC is grateful to its members, sponsors, and board members, whose support has made this significant step possible.

Archived editions of the standards, a red-line version tracking changes between editions, and translations are available to IVSC member and sponsor organisations through the Members' Portal and IVS Online.
