NEW! SAICA: Separate Guidelines & Templates 2024

The purpose of this document is to provide guidance and templates for the Training Regulations. 

The guidelines and templates for 2024 have been separated from the Regulations and are available separately:

1. Guideline 1 - Recognition of Prior Learning

2. Guideline 2 - The Academic Progress Rule

3. Guideline 3 - Requirements for Simulations

4. Template 1/2 - Notification Letter for Contravention/Potential Contravention of the Academic Progress Rule

5. Template 3 - Notification Letter for failure to submit the Assessment Forms/Instruments on a timely basis

6. Template 4 - Notification Letter for possible extension or cancellation for failure to achieve competence

7. Template 5 - Affidavit

Kindly note the guidance and templates above will be separate documents on the SAICA website. They were combined and distributed to training offices for ease of reference because this is the first year SAICA has separated them from the regulations.

Please note that these documents are to be used for clarification of certain clauses in the Regulations and can be taken into account in the interpretation of the Regulations. However, it does not replace the Regulations.

Relevance to Auditors, Independent Reviewers & Accountants:

• All Registered Training Offices must adhere to the Training Regulations

• Everyone involved in the SAICA training programme must have a working knowledge of the latest Training Regulations.

• The training office should be aware of the latest guidelines & templates that have been issued by SAICA.
