The SAICA adopted the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants’ (IESBA) International Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants (including International Independence Standards) (IESBA Code), published in 2018, following the issue of the proposed amendments on exposure in South Africa, together with South African enhancements.
SAICA also considers amendments proposed by the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA) to its Code of Professional Conduct for Registered Auditors (Revised November 2018) (the IRBA Code) and updates the SAICA Code where applicable.
All proposed changes to the SAICA Code based on amendments proposed by the IRBA. SAICA extends its gratitude to the IRBA and its Committee for Auditors Ethics (CFAE) in involving SAICA in its processes as well as the effort it has put to ensure that the amendments adequately address the South African environment,
Deadline to complete the survey for comments is 27 March 2023.
